There has not been enough emphasis placed on the valuable services our children's teachers provide every day. We need to applaud those that choose a career which has a direct impact on the growth and education of our children. They should be held to high standards, and their accomplishments should not be overlooked in this increasing environment of testing standards. back to issues list Law Enforcement: Stricter legislation for crimes involving domestic violence and sex abuse offenders... Sentences handed down to those convicted of crimes, especially convicted sex offenders, against the innocent, are not nearly strict or punitive enough. I will work to change our laws so that if these sex offenders are released from prison they will not be allowed to hurt another human being. I will work to improve coordination among fire, police and other emergency personnel. back to issues list Health Care: Affordable and accessible quality health care... Every man, woman and child has a fundamental right to quality health care. We, as a society, cannot expect a worker to perform or a child to learn if they must come to work or school with chronic health concerns. We must find a way to provide affordable and accessible health care. This includes regular preventative care. This includes regular preventative care and cost information of prescriptions and hospitals through websites and telephone assistance. We should reduce the number of uninsured to help reduce medical costs for everyone. back to issues list Second Amendment: The right to bear arms...
